Public Safety / Emergency Management

Whether it's a fire, flood, storm, building collapse or landslide, 3FB Aerworx’s experienced team is able to provide a range of aerial services to response agencies,  state government departments, municipalities, utility companies and any other agencies or companies to ensure a rapid recovery and improved outcomes for the community as a whole.

Whether it's a localised event or a large scale emergency, we have capability, capacity and services required to assist. The integration of our aerial solutions into emergency response provides reliable data and improved safety.

Our team has years of experience in all aspects of emergency management. Years of working in the sector has provided opportunities to be involved with pre planning and exercise development, response to a wide range of incidents, incident management at all levels and recovery operations. We bring this experience and knowledge along with our aerial services and sensors, working with our clients to ensure the best possible use of the equipment and data.

Integration into Existing Structures:

Our teams are all trained and familiar with the incident management practices used around the country and can easily work in with the Incident Management Team (IMT) to ensure our RPA’s are used to their full potential. Our operators will receive a live feed from the craft at all times. Footage is also able to be view remotely by the Incident Controller (IC) to provide current incident intelligence.

Our RPA’s are particularly appropriate in the following areas:

  • Rapid Impact Assessments
  • Access and Egress planning
  • Burn Planning & Reviews
  • Fuel load assessments
  • Fire Management Planning
  • Flood Monitoring
  • Hot Spot Identification (wildfire or structures)
  • Aerial Incendiary Services
  • Atmospheric Monitoring
  • Storm Damage Assessments
  • Hazmat Incidents
  • Search & Rescue Operations

When do you need RPA’s

While most people focus on the use of RPA’s during the emergency phase of an incident or event, we believe that the full benefits of this emerging technology are recognised when you incorporate it across all hazards and all phases of emergency management. From pre planning and exercises, through response and then during recovery.

Pre-Planning & Preparedness:

When it comes to preplanning and preparedness, the data and intelligence provided by our teams can be used to improve emergency planning by giving a unique perspective of the environment in question possibly identifying hazards previously not considered. Our crews can not only participate in exercises but by recording the events it allows for additional review providing increased improvements and learnings. Additionally the recorded imagery can be utilised for training of personnel that were not in attendance, future training, stakeholder and community engagement

Response:

Our crews can mobilise quickly and come fully self-sufficient. Travelling in a 4WD vehicle with radio communications we are able to  be easily incorporated into the management structure of any incident or event.  Our crews experience and understanding of incident management provides for trouble free communications and reporting lines.

Recovery:

When the sirens have stopped and the emergency is over it is time to turn the efforts to getting things back to normal. The quicker that recovery operations can get started the better the outcomes for all those effected. We are able to provide video footage, high resolution imagery, assessments of roads, critical infrastructure and monitoring works.
